Mosaic Stone is defined by random prices of irregular size and shape in a non-repeating pattern, somewhat like puzzle pieces. Another industry term may be builder or fieldstone. Mosaic thin veneer tends to be smaller in size than in a full depth due to the limitations of the saws cutting the materials therefore typically ranging from 6” – 30“ in one direction and 6”-16” in the other direction with a .75-1.5” in thickness. Mosaic stone is used for both interior and exterior elevations and is often used for fireplaces, accent walls, etc.
